A person I trust whispered to me today that a possible Huckabee/Barbour ticket may be in the works - if Mike Huckabee secures the GOP nomination. Huckabee, the only candidate capable of uniting the GOP, winning the nomination, and competing with Obama in the general election, would find his efforts greatly enhanced by the support of Haley Barbour, his "rolodex," and fundraising capability.
A few weeks ago, much news was made by
rumored conversations between Huckabee and Barbour, and both men expressed praise for one another.
Barbour unexpectedly announced he would not seek the GOP nomination last week,
clearling the way for Huckabee in the vital South.
Huckabee/Barbour? What do you think?
