After getting a quick blip of attention, Donald Trump is fading fast in Iowa. Iowans are well known for being politically astute and serious about who they throw their support to. Mike Huckabee is still far and away their favorite with 27%. Mitt Romney trails far behind in 2nd place with just 16% (despite the fact he has officially become a candidate while Huckabee still has not). Trump has faded to 14%
Public Policy Polling, who conducted the survey, is not surprised by Trump's fall. "As Trump's views on a wide range of issues become better known to GOP primary voters...we expect...his candidacy will become, in effect, moot."
