Huckabee Relocation to Florida Sparks 2012 Speculation

Mike Huckabee and his wife, Janet, have relocated to the Sunshine State. This, according to NewsMax, has sparked renewed speculation that Huckabee plans to run for President again in 2012.

I, for one, have assumed all along that Huckabee will run again. He certainly got enough encouragement in 2008 when he won the Iowa Caucus and did extremely well throughout the the south and midwest - scaring the crap out of the other contenders (only a very, very narrow loss to McCain in South Carolina kept Huckabee from winning the nomination).

So, if you were Mike Huckabee wouldn't you run again? And if you were going to run again and your kids were grown and you were making enough money to live anywhere you wanted, wouldn't you choose Florida - with its sunshine, white sandy beaches, friendly folks, and 27 electoral votes?

Now, I know Mike Huckabee well enough to know that he won't take Florida's electoral votes for granted (assuming he runs). He'll work hard there...and he'll look after the interests of the people of Florida every bit as much as he looks after the interests of all the rest of us.

Congratulations on your new home, Governor and Mrs. Huckabee. You've earned it!

New Poll: Its Huckabee or Romney in 2012

Public Policy Polling has released a new poll showing that the 2012 Republican field is pretty much Huckabee and Romney. Palin placed 2nd in just 6 states, and trails badly in most others.

In a head-to-head battle for the nomination, Mike Huckabee's AUTHENTICITY will bury Romney beneath his pandering, politically-expedient, flip-flopping lies on critically important issues like abortion, gay marriage, gun control, and now health care reform.
